Philosophy
Oak Heights is in pursuance of a more adventurous intellectual
spirit. Our goal, ambitious and maybe a bit impetuous,
has been to chart the future course of English education
- to develop and refine programs of genuine excellence
that encompass the strengths of the national curriculum
even while incorporating the interdisciplinary and social
dimensions. We are a work in progress, aiming to establish
a breeding ground for future Politicians, Lawyers, Doctors,
Chartered Accountants, Investment Bankers and other
highly respected professionals.
Within this process we intend to generate intellectual
capital, not only for university but also for career
success.
The school has been specifically designed to have a
low overall intake. This allows for excellent regulation
and accountability amongst our members. Consequently,
every aspect of each child's education and social development
is given full attention.
Oak Heights does not only educate out of formality and
practice. It educates out of passion and enthusiasm.
In addition to discipline, results are achieved through
encouragement and motivation.
The education in fundamentals is accepted as an absolute
necessity at this important stage of a child's life,
laying the foundation for a tradition of sound academic
standards at later stages. Our academic-timetable highlights
the emphasis we place on the development of numeracy
and literacy.
While there is an uncompromising approach to the acquisitions
of skills in English and Mathematics, we also help the
children to develop inquiring minds and sound study
habits. A rich mixture of experience is provided, introducing
the students to cultural and artistic awareness.
