Schools policies and Safeguarding procedures

exterior

Oak Heights’ policies, results and regulations are available on request.

We believe that all children have a right to be protected from abuse. It is the intention of the procedures within this policy to ensure that the appropriate action is taken immediately where it is alleged that a pupil is suspected of being abused. The prime concern at all times must be the interests and safety of the student.
Oak Heights School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Screening including a CRB check is routinely carried out on successful applicants.

Oak Heights School takes seriously its responsibility under section 175 of the Education Act 2002 and existing documentation including ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (September 2022) and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 (Updated July 2022) relating to Child Protection to safeguard and promote the welfare of children; and to work together with other agencies to ensure there are adequate arrangements within our school to identify, assess and support those students who are suffering harm. We will always act in the best interest of the child.
